Ann Fishkind-DesRoches:
The Cape Cod Colorful Artist

Ann Fishkind-DesRoches, the "Cape Cod Colorful Artist”, received her Associates of Fine Arts Degree from Greenfield Community College, in Greenfield Massachusetts. She continued her studies for two more years at Massachusetts College Of Art in Boston, Massachusetts.

In 1989 she suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm just before she was due to be married. Undaunted, she married and went on to have three children, two of which are on the Autism Spectrum. During this time with so much “extra” time on her hands she only did drawings and paintings for family members, as well as teaching Art History in the area's Public schools for eight years. After her divorce in 2000, she set up a studio in her home and resumed her career. You will find on the following pages an Autism Series of paintings dedicated to her sons. Partial proceeds from the sale of any of this series will be donated to Community Autism Resources.

Ann's work has been in numerous galleries and shows throughout Cape Cod. Her art is in private collections nationally ,as well as internationally.
Recently , her home town of Sandwich, on the Upper Cape , chose her " Grist Mill " painting to use, on the cover
of their " Sandwich Holly Days" guide, for 2016..
